Grab your poles and your bibs! Pack the skis and Snowboards! As exciting as Christmas itself is the ski season at Ober Gatlinburg. Vacation rentals begin filling up fast when the snow begins to fall, because ski enthusiasts know Tennessee is one of the best places for the slopes. From mid-December to early March, the Smoky Mountains call to couples and families flock to this popular resort.
With average annual snowfall 35 "and 100% snowmaking capacity, Ober Gatlinburg is always up and running. As they prepare for their day of fun, you can get its own or rent skis from the shop. In professional hands ensures the best fit for your body type and experience level. A double and two quad chairlifts Usher more than 6,000 people per hour to the eight expansion paths through the mountains. With a summit elevation of 3,300 meters, the resort is not the only which is excellent. The views themselves are simply priceless.

How brave you? , Beginner to reckless, There are several tracks for all. Beginner skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the Cub Ski School Track and careers that are more open and provide a gentle slope. If you have not skied in a while or you're just starting, this is the place for you.
The more experienced skiers and pensioners can choose from four intermediate slopes that progress in difficulty. Castle Run is 1,100 feet long with 163 meters of vertical drop. Alpine Way offers a within 2600 meters and a 279-foot vertical drop. Bear Run is steeper and more so with a term of 3,200 meters and a 393-foot drop. However, the above Ober Chute all with the longest (4,400 feet) and an impressive vertical drop of 556 feet!
For those who have no fear, the black diamond runs up your alley. Mogul Ridge is a challenging course (aptly named!) Excitement. Just 300 meters long, one may suppose that would be a piece of cake. I could be wrong! What it lacks in distance it makes up more than emotion. Mogul Ridge joins Castle Run to give you a thrill a minute followed by a 800-foot slope for intermediate that leads to the base.
The king of them all, however, Bear! The race extends 3800 meters advanced. Want a wild ride? Take the elevator to track channel Ober (near the top). Ober Chute Run until intertwines with Grizzly. Take on the 556-vertical foot drop, Swoosh down the mountain to the Bear Castillo joins the Run. Like a roller coaster of powerful, will have to travel again and again.

While skiing is a major attraction, which is certainly not the only source of Ober Gatlinburg. Holiday homes in this area will be placed in the heart of the fun of it all. Spend a day on the mountain, then back for the next excitement and fun at the amusement park.
You'll find a covered ice rink, the Alpine Slide (a twisting, turning 1800 walk through the mountain in a controlled speed sled), a tram, a shopping mall, arcade, go-carts and more.
